Benedict Cumberbatch to play poisoned spy in limited series
Based on the book 'The Terminal Spy' by Alan Cowell, the series tells the true story of Alexander Litvinenko, the KGB agent and later defector killed by poisoning with the radioactive isotope polonium-210 in 2006 in England. Cumberbatch will star as Litvinenko and will also serve as an executive producer on the project under his Sunnymarch banner, reports variety.con. David Scarpa is writing 'Londongrad' and will also executive produce. Bryan Fogel will direct and executive produce via Orwell Productions.

'Rust' producers were warned about Dave Halls' safety issues
Halls has admitted to investigators that he failed to properly check a gun before handing it to Alec Baldwin on the set of 'Rust' on October 21. Baldwin fired that gun while rehearsing a scene, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding the director, reports variety.com. The production companies credited on 'Rust' include Thomasville Pictures, led by Ryan Smith and Allen Cheney, as well as Short Porch Pictures, run by Nathan Klingher and Ryan Winterstern, among others
Josh O'Connor, Paul Mescal unite for gay romance

OTT release of Mohanlal's 'Marakkar' runs into rough weather
Cherian said that the OTT aspect was thought of when the movie halls were closed and the government is of the firm view that films should first be released in theatres and he expects the same with 'Marakkar'. On Wednesday movie halls in Kerala finally started screening films after a gap of six months and with stringent Covid guidelines allowing only 50 per cent of the total seating capacity, which is a dampener for producers and theatre owners.
