Railway staffers filmed gang rape in moving train in Karachi

The investigating officer (IO) of the case, Inspector Habibullah Khattak, submitted this before Judicial Magistrate (South) Shahnawaz in a progress report, reports Dawn news. The Railway Police had arrested five staffers of the privately managed Bahaudin Zakria Express for allegedly sexually assaulting the 25-year-old victim on May 27. On Saturday, the IO produced the suspects in court on expiry of their physical remand and sought an extension in the same.
Needle attacks spike in France, reasons unknown

French television BFMTV has reported 319 such cases in nightclubs alone. Police complaints have been filed by 275 victims, reports Xinhua news agency. Men and women can equally fall victim to needle spiking, and, according to social media, people have been attacked with needles in different parts of the body. On social media, French nightclub and bar victims relate their stories using the hashtag "call on your bar", Leila Chaouachi, a pharmacist at the Addictovigilance Center in Paris, told Xinhua.
President Putin signs law on non-compliance with ECHR decisions

In accordance with the law, Russia will not abide by the ECHR rulings adopted after March 15, when the country announced its exit from the Council of Europe, Xinhua news agency quoted the Kremlin as saying. President Zelensky asks EU for 7th sanctions package against Russia
