EC advances digital euro with legislative proposal

The 32-year-old James Zhong from Georgia fraudulently obtained the Bitcoin from The Silk Road -- a site on the dark web once called "the Amazon of drugs" -- in 2012. Zhong has now pleaded guilty to committing wire fraud in September 2012, when he unlawfully obtained over 50,000 Bitcoin from the Silk Road dark web internet marketplace, the US Department of Justice said in a statement late on Monday.
Pakistan's oil sector warns of looming petrol, diesel crisis

SBI to issue electoral bonds through 29 branches between Nov 9-15

The bonds shall be valid for 15 calendar days from the date of issue and no payment shall be made to any payee political party if the electoral bond is deposited after expiry of the validity period.The electoral bond deposited by an eligible political party in its account shall be credited on the same day, official sources said.

Latest data by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) showed that airlines in the region continue to be impacted by the conflict in Ukraine, labour shortages, and lower levels of trade and manufacturing activity due to Omicron-related restrictions in China. It said that available capacity in the region increased by 2.8 per cent compared to 2021.

Government releases revenue deficit grant worth Rs 7,183 cr to 14 states

With this, the total RDG released to states so far in the current financial year has gone up to Rs 57,467.33 crore. This was the eighth instalment of the grant for the current fiscal released to states.In 2022-23, the states will get a total RDG of Rs 86,201 crore.
