Hero Electric sells close to 9K EV 2-wheelers in July, tops segment

Ather Energy sold just 1,279 EV two-wheelers for the full month of July from selling 3,829 vehicles in June -- a massive drop in numbers -- followed by Ola Electric which sold 3,852 vehicles from 5,891 vehicles in June. Ampere Vehicles Pvt Ltd, which sold 6,542 vehicles in June, saw a minor drop at 6,312 vehicles last month.
Nearly 350 aircraft inspected in last few months, says Aviation Ministry

"The spot checks raised findings which were corrected by the airlines. Another series of spot checks were carried out on all operating aircraft of Spicejet from July 9 to 13, wherein 53 spot checks were carried out on 48 aircraft which did not raise any significant finding or safety violations," said the Ministry of civil Aviation in a written reply in the House.
Retail assets securitisation volumes rise manifold in Q1 FY23

The retail market volume was again driven by direct assignment transactions, which had a lion's share of 61% of the overall size, while the remaining share was that of pass through certificate deals. Within direct assignment, the dominant asset class was mortgage-backed securitisation (MBS) with an aggregate size of around Rs 13,000 crore, followed by asset-backed securitisation (ABS) at around Rs 4,000 crore, which includes pools backed by all the asset classes.
Load factor of SpiceJet on July 30, 31 was 81% and 82.4% respectively

"SpiceJet flight operations remain absolutely normal. All our flights have departed on time, as per schedule today, and there have been no cancellations. We are operating with excellent loads and the daily ticket bookings remain strong. Our load factor on July 30th and 31st was 81% andA 82.4% respectively," said the airline spokesperson.
GST collection in July second highest ever

For five months in a row, the monthly GST revenues have been more than Rs 1.4 lakh crore "During the month, revenues from import of goods was 48% higher and the revenues from domestic transaction (including import of services) are 22% higher than the revenues from these sources during the same month last year," the ministry said.

5G spectrum auction sees bids worth Rs 1,50,130 cr after 37 rounds

Led by Reliance Jio with over Rs 80,100 crore and Bharati Airtel with around Rs 50,000 crore worth bids, the 5G spectrum auction will continue on Monday. While Vodafone Idea has placed bids for about Rs 15,000 crore, a unit of Adani Enterprises has placed bids around Rs 5,000 crore.
PC shipments, chip sales growth face record slump this year: Report

PC shipments are set to decline by 13.1 per cent this year after recording growth in 2020 and 2021. Semiconductor revenue from smartphones is on pace to slow to 3.1 per cent growth, compared to 24.5 per cent growth in 2021. "Although chip shortages are abating, the global semiconductor market is entering a period of weakness, which will persist through 2023 when semiconductor revenue is projected to decline 2.5 per cent," said Richard Gordon, Practice VP at Gartner.
