The altercation happened when Rock took the stage to present the best documentary award and made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in a sequel to 'G.I. Jane'.

According to People Magazine, Jada is suffering from a disease called alopecia, which is a disease that causes hair loss. After sitting back down, Smith shouted at Rock to “keep my wife’s name out of your (expletive) mouth.”
