Stage set for BAFTA Awards with Rebel Wilson as show host
The red carpet, reports 'Variety', begins at 2 p.m. GMT and the ceremony starts at 5 p.m. GMT. The ceremony broadcast will air a couple hours later at 7 p.m. GMT. The BAFTA social media accounts will also follow the night's events, including red carpet coverage. "With Rebel Wilson hosting in front of an auditorium packed full of famous faces, it promises to be a truly unmissable show," Emma Baehr, BAFTA's executive director of awards and content, said.

'The Batman' keeps gliding as box-office leader in second weekend
With no new major releases for the weekend, Warner Bros.' 'The Batman' has an easy path to repeating its top performance at the domestic box-office. The DC adaptation grossed an additional $18.7 million on Friday from 4,417 locations, more than enough to maintain the No. 1 position on North American charts, reports variety.com. That performance represents a 67 per cent drop-off from the film's $57 million opening day, though that debut figure also includes $21.6 million from Thursday preview screenings populated by eager fans. Looking solely at last Friday's numbers, The Batman' is showing a much more encouraging 47 percent decline, reports variety.com.

Work on director U Anbarasan's new film, 'Rekla', featuring director-actor Prabhu Deva in the lead, began on Saturday with a simple pooja here in the city. Anbarasan is best known for his previous film, 'Walter', an action thriller which featured Sibi Sathyaraj in the lead. 'Rekla', which will be Prabhu Deva's 58th film, is being produced by S Ambeth Kumar of Olympia Movies.
