"Kaun?", a psychological thriller directed by Ram Gopal Varma, also featured Urmila Matondkar and Sushant Singh in key roles. The film tells the tale of a serial killer and another individual locked up in the same house on a stormy evening. The talented actor terms it as "great acknowledgement and encouragement".

He also recalls how the award-winning actress refused to be replaced by a body double in a scene fraught with danger. In a conversation with IANS, Advani said: "Shabanaji had just come out of a horrific car crash (in 2020) and when we heard about it we had to take a break for a couple of months. She called me up and asked me to replace her, but I said to her I will never replace her. I said we will wait for her and she must recover and come back. That's the level of commitment that has been shown in the show."
