Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar made the announcement earlier in the day while releasing a fresh Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on preventive measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 for cinema halls and theatres. As per the new SOPs, Javadekar, however, said that sanitisation and Covid protocols will have to be adhered to but people can buy food from the stalls inside the theatres.

Addressing the protesters, Chaduni said: "Today the power is vested in the capitalists and so the new legislations are being made to benefit them." The BKU leader added that the Centre has passed an agri business law and not of farming. "The central government has no right to make farm laws. The farmer's agitation will not end till the three new agriculture laws are repealed. These farm legislations will only benefit the capitalists," Chaduni said.

Singhu: Farmers say no trust in police post clash, self-guard site

Naujawan Bharat Sabha President Rupinder Singh said that youth wings of the farmer's unions have been told to guard the protest site and not let any suspicious person infiltrate the area. The youth are patrolling the perimeter of the protest site in groups. Mahendar Pal Singh from the Ganna Sangharsh committee, Hoshiarpur, who was leading one such group, told IANS that young farmers are keeping vigil round the clock in shifts.
Rs 2 lakh each for Moradabad accident victims' kin from PMNRF

The compensation will be given from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. A sum of Rs 50,000 each will be given to those seriously injured in a collision between a minibus and truck on the Moradabad-Agra highway in Kundarki Police station area around 8.10 am on Saturday. At least 10 persons were killed, and 10 others injured.
