Covid-19 Update: India records 13,052 cases, 127 deaths
For the past 24 days, the country has been recording less than 20,000 daily new infections. Also, the death toll remained below the 300-mark for the past 34 days. On January 19, India had reported 10,064 new cases, the lowest so far this year. Last year, the lowest was recorded on June 3 with 9,633 cases.

In a video message on Saturday, Khan said, "The situation in UP is such that no surveillance is being done on criminals and a history sheet is being opened against those, including me, who are innocent."
Freelance journalist Mandeep Punia arrested at Singhu border
The police said that Punia was jumping the roadblocks and barricades when the alleged incident took place. "Mandeep has been booked under sections 186 IPC (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 353 IPC (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty). The case is registered at the Alipur police station," said a senior police officer.

V.K. Sasikala Natarajan likely to be discharged on Sunday
According to the bulletin, Sasikala completed 10 days of treatment on Saturday. "She has been asymptomatic and maintaining saturation without oxygen since three days. As per protocol, she can be discharged from the hospital," the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute said in its bulletin.
