Covid-19 Update: India reports 13,203 new cases, 131 deaths

For the past 18 days, the country has been recording less than 20,000 daily new infections. Also, the death toll remained below 300-mark for the past 28 days. On January 19, India had reported 10,064 new coronavirus infections, the lowest single-day spike in seven months. The country had recorded over 10,000 cases on June 6 last year.
Farmers' Tractor Rally: Uttar Pradesh police withdraws ban on fuel

The Samajwadi Party had shared a news report on Twitter that said farmers are being kept under house arrest by the UP Police in order to restrain them from participating in the January 26 tractor rally. Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur Om Prakash Singh, said he was shocked when he learnt about the orders issued by the in-charges of the Suhwal and Saidpur police stations and has asked ASP (rural) to probe the matter.

Barricades to open on Jan 26 as police allow Tractor Rally

Police have said that the barricades would be lifted at Singhu, Tikri and Gazipur borders on January 26 after the Republic Day parade is over and the farmers would be allowed to enter up to 100 kilometres within Delhi with their tractors in a circular path on the routes discussed with the farmers.
