India overtakes China to become most populous country: UN report
According to the UNFPA's The State of World Population Report, 2023, India's population has reached 1,428.6 million while China's stands at 1,425.7 million -- a difference of 2.9 million. The UN's World Population Prospects 2022 had also projected India to surpass China as the world's most populous country during 2023.
Balakot air strikes demonstrated aerospace power in a 'no war, no peace' scenario: IAF Chief
IAF chief V.R. Chaudhary said on Tuesday that the 2019 air strikes in Balakot demonstrated that if political will is there, aerospace power can be effectively used in a no war, no peace' scenario, under a nuclear overhang without allowing the situation to escalate into a full-blown conflict. Vulgar message flashes on LED display board in Bihar's Bhagalpur
The LED display screen was installed at Ambedkar Chowk near Bhagalpur railway station which flashed a vulgar content on Monday. Soon, a large number of people assembled there with some capturing the message on mobile phones and circulating it on social media. The district administration of Bhagalpur immediately swung into action and removed the display board and message.
SC agrees to hear plea seeking committee headed by ex-SC judge to probe Atiq, brother killing

Atiq Ahmed, brother gunned down in front of police, media
