India reacted swiftly with critical set of measures: USAID on SL crisis

"The Government of India has already supplied $16 million in humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka, it has exported 100,000 tonnes of organic fertilizer to try to help farmers stave off future food shortages, and it has supplied $3.5 billion in lines of credits to the Government of Sri Lanka as it attempts to steer its economy out of default and further collapse," the USAID administrator said while talking to media at an event in IIT-Delhi.
Three Indians named in Ukraine's 'Russian Propagandists' list
As per reports, the three individuals were named in a list released on July 14 by the Centre for Countering Disinformation (CCD), a subsidiary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council. Though the criteria for inclusion are unclear, each name in the report lists with the "pro-Russian" tag.

India reports 18,313 new Covid cases, 57 deaths
In the same period, the country has reported 57 more Covid deaths, taking the nationwide death toll to 5,26,167. Meanwhile, the active caseload of the country has marginally dropped to 1,45,026 cases, accounting for 0.33 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
Sonia Gandhi to appear before ED for 3rd round of questioning today
Sonia Gandhi has been asked to appear before the ED by 11 a.m on Wednesday. On Tuesday, she was questioned for almost six hours with a lunch break in between. For her third day questioning, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will again accompany her with a medicine box.
Media must confine to honest journalism, shouldn't expand business interests: CJI
"When a media house has other business interests, it becomes vulnerable to external pressures. Often, the business interests prevail over the spirit of independent journalism. As a result, democracy gets compromised," he said at at the release of book "The Geeta Vijnana Upanishad" authored by Gulab Kothari. The Chief Justice stressed that independent journalism is the backbone of democracy and journalists are the eyes and the ears of the people.
