Lashkar, Al-Badr terrorists planning to sneak into J&K via PoK, Intel agencies warn

The sources, quoting intelligence inputs, said that at least seven militants of LeT and five of Al Badra are trying to cross over to Jammu and Kashmir from two different areas located in PoK. The intelligence alert has specifically said that from one place in PoK, the LeT ultras will be trying to infiltrate with help of a launch pad commander, while the five Al Badr terrorists are located near a launch pad in Balakot, who are being escorted by a local guide to infiltrate from the Bhimber Gali side in Poonch district of J&K.
Center restores non-medical teachers percentage as per old MCI norms

"The NMC may continue to adopt the old pattern of permissible percentage of non medical teachers for the time being, subject to the outcome of the pending court cases", said Union Health Minister in its order. However, the subject of reducing the percentage of non medical teachers in non-clinical departments of medical colleges is pending before the court.
India's current Covid surge not leading to severe illness, deaths: ICMR chief

Adressing the media on current Covid surge, he said that the vaccine remains beneficial and deaths have considerably reduced as compared to the second Covid surge . "Vaccines have remained beneficial in India. Deaths have considerably reduced due to vaccinations. In this third surge of Covid-19, we are currently not witnessing severe illness and deaths due to high vaccination uptake," Dr Balram Bhargava said.
Nearly 400 charging points across 170 location installed in Delhi

The Delhi government on Monday launched its first electric bus and on Wednesday signed an agreement with the CESL for installation of charging and battery swapping stations for two, three and four-wheeler electric vehicles at cluster bus depots of its Transport Department. Each charging and battery swapping facilities will be installed at 14 locations. Each will include six charging points, three of which will be for two and three-wheelers while three points will be meant for four-wheelers.

India successfully test fires new version of Brahmos missile

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in a statement said that Brahmos supersonic cruise missile with increased indigenous content and improved performance was successfully test fired at 10.30 a.m. from Integrated Test Range, Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.The launch was conducted by Brahmos Aerospace in close coordination with DRDO teams.
