Migrant labourers not leaving Delhi, says police

"Labourers are not migrating from the city. These are all rumours," the official said. DCP (East district) Priyanka Kashyap also shared a similar message stating: "No such mass movement of labourers has been reported or is happening".
At 1,68,063, India sees slight decline in fresh Covid cases

With the new cases and deaths, the capital's tally has climbed to 15,68,896, and the death toll to 25,177. The number of active Covid cases have jumped at 65,806, highest since May 15, when there were 66,295 active Covid cases, as per the Health Department.

A bench headed by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana and comprising Justices L. Nageswara Rao and Surya Kant, in its order, said: "The order dated March 23, 2020, is restored and in continuation of the subsequent orders dated March 8, 2021, April 27, 2021, and September 23, 2021, it is directed that the period from March 15, 2020 till February 28, 2022 shall stand excluded for the purposes of limitation as may be prescribed under any general or special laws in respect of all judicial or quasi-judicial proceedings."
Pollution levels that dipped during 2020 lockdown threaten to bounce back: CSE

"This analysis of real time air quality data for the period 2019-2021 shows that the downward dip in pollution that was induced by the hard lockdown phases of the pandemic in 2020 is threatening to bounce back with the levels in 2021 already rising. But in many cases, the levels are still lower than 2019. This underscores the urgency of scaling up action across all sectors to prevent further worsening and to arrest the trend in this region," said Anumita Roychowdhury, executive director, research and advocacy at CSE.
