Dengue cases go up every 2 years in India: Centre
Pawar was replying to a question on whether there has been an increase in the cases of vector-borne diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya year to year in the country. She said in her reply that the cases of dengue saw a spike every second year. However, chikungunya has shown a mixed trend in the country, said Pawar, adding that the number of confirmed cases was 26,364 in 2016, 12,548 in 2017, 9,756 in 2018, 12,205 in 2019, 6,324 in 2020.

PM to lay foundation stone of Ganga Expressway on Dec 18
In a statement Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur at around 1 p.m. on December 18. "The inspiration behind the Expressway is the vision of the Prime Minister to provide fast paced connectivity across the country. The 594 km long six-lane Expressway will be built at a cost of over Rs 36,200 crore," the PMO said.

The Indian prime minister has also left behind Indian celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Virat Kohli in this list. The survey recorded feedback from 42,000 people in 38 countries.
Natural farming is solution for food security: PM Modi
"We need to take away farming from the chemistry lab to nature's lab. And when I say nature's laboratory, it is entirely science-based," Modi said while virtually addressing the farmers during the valedictory session of 'National Conclave on Natural Farming' being held at Anand in Gujarat. Stating that some states such as his home state Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh have already taken to natural farming, PM Modi also appealed to all state governments to take up natural farming as 'jan andolan' and ensure that at least one village in every Panchayat is 100 per cent into natural farming.

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday said that the war against terrorism is a war for the country and its people.

Myanmar Army hands over 5 militants to Manipur Police
A police official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, revealed that a special flight carrying the five Manipur-based RPF militants landed at the Imphal airport on Wednesday morning and the extremists were subsequently handed to the state police.
The RPF guerrillas were immediately taken to an undisclosed location by the police and are being interrogated by the senior officials.
