Delhi government to lift lockdown week-wise, traders push for reopening markets

After DDMA's meeting was over, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through a digital press conference said, "The Government has to take care of the lowest strata first, which includes daily wagers, labourers, and migrant workers who come to Delhi from far off areas for livelihood. This category of personnel are usually found in the construction field and in factories."

Expressing solidarity with the people affected by the cyclonic storm, the Prime Minister announced financial assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for immediate relief activities. Of this, Rs 500 crore would be given to Odisha, while the remaining amount would be allotted to West Bengal and Jharkhand on the basis of the extent of damage. The Union government will also deploy an inter-ministerial team to visit the states to assess the extent of damage.
Sushant case: Ex-flatmate Pithani sent to NCB custody till June 1

Among the prime suspects in the case, Pithani was absconding since long, but was arrested by the NCB in a joint operation with its Hyderabad office on Wednesday, May 26. 'Absolutely false': Govt refutes NYT report on India Covid death toll

The NYT report had alleged that India has been downplaying its estimated Covid deaths. According to the report, the death toll in India due to Covid hit 42 lakh, in the worst-case scenario, 13.3 times less than the Indian government’s report of 3,15,235. However, the government clarified that many estimates of “under-reported” deaths in India were based on assumptions lacking evidence.
India extends international flights suspension till June 30
