China, Pakistan have come together against India: Rahul Gandhi

As per a YouTube video of the interaction released on Sunday, Gandhi said that India is now extremely vulnerable. He said that the country had two enemies - China and Pakistan - and the policy was to keep them separate. Both China and Pakistan are working together not only militarily but also economically, he said.

According to sources in the know of things, in a meeting held last week, he said that "merit and loyalty to the party should be the criteria for appointment of new office bearers in the party". He also said there should be a performance-related review every six months, and if any party functionary is found less or inactive vis-a-vis party work, he/she should be replaced.

Jairam Ramesh, Congress General Secretary said, "Today is the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was a first-term MP when he co-signed a letter to Nehru requesting for Parliament to be convened earlier than scheduled to debate the Chinese invasion. Nehru agreed. Now MPs can't even discuss ongoing Chinese incursions."
