Responding to the media on being left out by Vijayan, he said the whole world is changing. "Trouble erupts when you resist change. I have no problems in not being invited. My Christmas greetings to all who are taking part in it. I sincerely wish that the New Year brings good luck to all. I also wish all the Keralites a Merry Christmas. I have no grudges against anybody for not inviting me," said Governor Khan.
Pressure mounts on BJP to expand Karnataka cabinet, Jarkiholi & Eshwarappa skip Assembly session

Ramesh Jarkiholi and K.S. Eshwarappa held a meeting in Bengaluru on Tuesday, after which Eshwarappa in a press conference said, "I had tendered resignation from the minister's post when there was an allegation. The party assured me that I would get the cabinet berth after getting a clean chit. Now, charges against me have been dropped. Let the party keep its word."

Winter session likely to conclude on Dec 23

Leaders of all parties are said to have arrived at a consensus to end the session on December 23. The Winter session was supposed to end on December 29, 2022. It had begun on December 7. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had received representations from several opposition leaders to end the session early, keeping in mind the festival and year-end season ahead.
Delhi HC posts hearing of AAP minister Satyendar Jain's bail plea for Jan 5

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma was expected to hear Jain and the two co-accused's (Ankush Jain & Vaibhav Jain) pleas challenging trial court's order denying them bail in a money laundering case. All three were denied bail on November 17 by Special Judge Vikas Dhull. The High Court on December 1, had sought the response of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Jain's bail plea in the case. Justice Sharma had directed the ED to file its response within two weeks.
Piyush Goyal seeks apology from Kharge in RS

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel moved a motion to elect Chaudhary as the Speaker, which was seconded by Parliamentary Affairs minister Rishikesh Patel and put for vote. The Congress supported the motion and he was elected unanimously. Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai moved motion to elect Jethabhai Bharwad as Deputy Speaker, it was seconded by Parliamentary Affairs minister Rishkesh Patel and put for vote.
Delhi L-G seeks recovery of Rs 97 cr AAP spent on political ads in garb of govt ads

The L-G has directed Chief Secretary to implement the September 2016 order of the Supreme Court appointed Committee on Content Regulation in Government Advertising (CCRGA) and the pursuant order of Directorate of Information & Publicity (DIP), GNCTD, directing AAP to pay Rs 97,14,69,137 plus interest, to the state exchequer, for political advertisements that it got published/telecast in the garb of government advertisements.
