Riding on explosive knocks from Shreyas Iyer, Jadeja and Samson, India thrashed Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the second T20I, to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. "It was important for me to time the ball because it was swinging and seaming. When I faced the first few balls, I realized it wasn't turning, so I knew I could use the feet, the ball was traveling well, so I could step out on the lofted shots," said Iyer.
2nd T20I: Shanaka, Nissanka fireworks propel Sri Lanka to 183-5 against India

Apart from Nissanka and Shanaka, Danushka Gunathilaka also played a vital knock (38 off 29) for the visitors. Put in to bat first, openers Pathum Nissanka and Danushka Gunathilaka gave Sri Lanka a slow start. India's new-ball bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah got plenty of swing and with their disciplined length and line, they tested Sri Lanka's batters.

Russia-Ukraine war: FIDE moves Chess Olympiad out of Russia

The other events that are moved away from Russia are the first chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities and the 93rd FIDE Congress, FIDE said. This year, the Congress should also include an electoral procedure, since the first term of the current FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich is coming to an end. Dvorkovich was elected in Batumi (Georgia), in September 2018.
India bidding to host Chess Olympiad 2022

"We are bidding to host the Chess Olympiad this time. The event budget will be about Rs 75 crore," Bharat Singh Chauhan, Secretary, AICF told IANS. If India wins the bid then the Chess Olympiad will be the second major global chess competition that would be held in the country after 2013

Ishan Kishan looked uncomfortable against West Indies but came out all guns blazing against Sri Lanka in the first T20I, scoring 89 runs in 56 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. Shreyas Iyer held the #3 batting position well and displayed his impeccable finishing skills with an unbeaten 57 runs off 28 balls after starting off really slow.
