The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match in Lucknow on May 1 was marred by an on-field altercation involving Kohli, Naveen, Amit Mishra and Gambhir. The ugly clash between the two greatest Indian cricketers -- Kohli and Gambhir -- wasn't a pleasant sight, and as a result of that, both of them were fined 100 per cent of their match fees for the altercation, which was deemed a Level 2 offence and in breach of IPL Code of Conduct's Article 2.21. On the other hand, Afghanistan fast-bowler Naveen-ul-Haq was fined 50 per cent of his match fees.

Sangwan defeated Fu Mingke of China 5-0 in a Round of 32 match. The Indian boxer was quicker than Fu right from the start and landed some heavy blows on his opponent. Akash played from a distance and evaded Fu's punches throughout the bout, the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) informed in a release on Saturday.

Athletics Kenya president Jackson Tuwei said on Friday that the world governing body was considering their request. "There is only one Diamond League in Africa and hopefully the next time we are gathered here, we will be talking about a Diamond League event," Tuwei said at the launch of the 2023 Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, Kenya's capital. The Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athletisme de Rabat, Morocco is the only African event in the annual Diamond League circuit.

Final round draw made for Senior Women's National Football Championship
Twelve teams were divided into two groups of six comprising hosts Punjab, direct seeds Railways, six group winners from the group stage and four best second-placed teams. The final round will start on June 14, 2023, with matches to be held in two venues in Amritsar -- GNDU Sports Complex and Khalsa College. Amritsar also hosted Group I of the first round, which featured 30 teams divided into six groups and was played across six centralised venues including Haldwani, Margao, Bhilai, Mathura and Bengaluru. It began on March 25 and ended on April 9.

It is also Rohit's 16th duck in the IPL, the most for any batter in the history of the competition. He has surpassed Dinesh Karthik, Mandeep Singh and Sunil Narine, who are now joint second with 15 ducks each. Rohit, who had scored a three-ball duck in his previous game against Punjab Kings at Mohali, decided to bat at No.3 in Chennai, with Australia all-rounder Cameron Green opening the batting with Ishan Kishan.
