PC manufacturers meet MeitY officials on import curbs, seek solutions

Announcing its new Copilot Copyright Commitment, the tech giant said if a third party sues a commercial customer for copyright infringement for using Microsoft’s Copilots or the output they generate, “we will defend the customer and pay the amount of any adverse judgments or settlements that result from the lawsuit, as long as the customer used the guardrails and content filters we have built into our products”.

Also, the new term of service says that by using X, “to the extent permitted by law, you also waive the right to participate as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action or representative action proceeding.”

Govt notifies amendments to GST law on deposit refunds issued by online gaming portals, casinos

The finance ministry notified on September 6, the amendments to the Central GST law for calculating value of supply in case of online gaming and casinos as per the decision of the GST council taken last month in its meeting on August 2.
