'Barbie' gets over 200K online, social media mentions in India: Report
A majority of mentions came from the metro regions across the country. The 'Barbie' film made the biggest splash in Mumbai with over 15,600 online & social media mentions, while Delhi and Bengaluru followed closely with 12,400 and 8,800 mentions, respectively.
Instagram back after brief global outage
According to the website outage tracking portal DownDetector, more than 59,000 users reported the outage issue. Around 85 per cent of people had reported problems with the app, 10 per cent while using the website, and 6 per cent with the Instagram feed.
Twitter sign lettering removed from HQ, police interrupts
Workers were seen removing the metal sign using an aerial work platform vehicle, also known as a cherry picker, reports The San Francisco Standard. After some time, San Francisco police officers arrived and halted the work. Work was stopped at the site and only the letters "er" were left of the word "Twitter", also the bird logo remained in place.

WhatsApp is widely rolling out landscape mode support for video calls on iOS
"Video calls now support landscape mode," the company mentioned in the official changelog. Also, users can now silence unknown callers by going to Settings > Privacy > Calls. The platform is also rolling out the ability to natively transfer full account history when switching to a new device.
YouTube testing viewer-created Shorts featuring comments
"While creators are already able to reply to comments (posted on their own content) with a Short, we want to explore offering viewers the opportunity to create content from comments as well," the company said in a support page. The Short will appear in the Shorts feed and on the viewers' channel page.

On Sunday, he also kicked off a poll asking users if he should change the default platform colour to black. Currently, black colour leads the poll with 74.8 per cent of votes, while white colour only got 25.2 per cent of votes.
Government cautions Internet users against ransomware 'Akira'
CERT-In, the government's technology arm which guards against cyber attacks, issued an advisory regarding "Akira", a computer malware targets Windows and Linux-based systems. It said that it steals information and then encrypts data on their systems. Once this is done, the malware conducts double extortion, thus forcing the victim into paying the ransom amount.
Apple may not launch iPhone SE 4 in 2024: Report
In a research note, Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O'Malley said the device was expected to feature an Apple-designed 5G modem, but the plans appear to be delayed, reports MacRumors. Apple has apparently been working on its own modem since at least 2018, and in 2019, purchased the entirety of Intel's smartphone modem division to support these efforts.
