Microsoft updates Photos app in Windows 11 with new features
The update is rolling out to Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels. The Photos app in Windows 11 allows users to view, organise, and share photos from their PC, OneDrive, and iCloud. With this update, Microsoft has introduced features like slideshow experience, timeline scrollbar, and spot fix.
India records 18% surge in weekly cyber attacks in Q1 2023: Report

"Over the coming weeks, every user will become eligible to change their username from their old username with discriminators (#0000) to a new username (@username) without discriminators. All users will eventually be required to pick a new, unique username to use Discord," read a blogpost by Discord.
Apple launches 20 new games to its Arcade service
The new titles include WHAT THE CAR?, TMNT Splintered Fate, Disney SpellStruck, and Cityscapes: Sim Builder, all of which are only available on Apple Arcade, according to Apple. The expansion also adds popular games from the App Store to the service, including Temple Run+, Playdead's LIMBO+, PPKP+, and more."Today's launch boosts our award-winning catalogue with 20 new games people will love playing and sharing with their friends and families," Alex Rofman, Apple's senior director of Apple Arcade, said in a statement on Thursday.

The company introduced the 'Create Single-Vote Polls' option for poll creators to allow people to vote only once. Poll creators will just need to turn off the allow multiple answers option.
Apple, Samsung capture 96% of global smartphone operating profits
Samsung replaced Apple as the top global smartphone player in Q1 2023, driven by its mid-tier A Series and the recently launched S23 series, according to Counterpoint Research. Apple's shipment decline (year-on-year) was the least among the top five brands as the company recorded its highest-ever Q1 share of 21 percent. Globally, the smartphone market faced further contraction in the March quarter with shipments declining by 14 percent YoY and 7 percent (on-quarter) to 280.2 million units in Q1 2023, according to the latest research from Counterpoint's Market Monitor service.
5G smartphone shipments grow 14% in India in Q1 2023: Report
According to CyberMedia Research (CMR), India's 5G smartphone momentum continued through Q1 2023 with 34 new 5G launches, with Samsung leading the country's market with a 23 per cent share, followed by Apple with a 17 per cent market share. In addition, India's smartphone market shipments declined by 21 per cent (year-on-year), during Q1 2023, while the overall mobile market in the country declined by 20 per cent (year-on-year).
Google's Bard AI may soon arrive as homescreen widget on Pixel devices
According to 9to5Google, the Bard AI is expected to launch on Android soon, complete with a homescreen widget.However, it is not clear whether Bard will be integrated into the Google Search app or arrive as a standalone app. A home screen widget is a small app or feature that can be placed on a smartphone's main screen.
With the addition of Bard as a home screen widget, Pixel phone users might be able to create stories, and other forms of creative writing directly from their phone's home screen.

Fortnite now available on Fire TV, Amazon Luna
"Luna customers in the US, Canada, Germany and the UK can now play any Fortnite game modes like Battle Royale and Creative on devices they already own, including Fire TV smart TVs and tablets, and streaming media players, laptops and via browser on mobile devices," Amazon said in a blogpost.
