Google rolling out new split-screen look to Android Auto
The new design updates and feature improvements will provide users a "more personal, easy-to-use experience," the tech giant said in a blogpost on Thursday. The new design focuses mainly on three important goals for drivers -- navigating where they are going, communicating with friends and family, and playing their music or podcasts.
Mass shipment of Apple AR headsets to delay further this year
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the reason for the delay is that the development of the headsets is behind schedule "due to issues with mechanical component drop testing and the availability of software development tools." As a result, it is unlikely that the tech giant will hold an event for its new headset this month. Kuo tweeted on Friday: "At this point, it seems more likely that Apple will announce the AR/MR headset at a spring media event or Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) based on the current development progress."

The new smartphones -- Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy A23 5G -- are likely to launch in mid-January in the country at a price starting around Rs 15,000, sources told IANS. Galaxy A14 5G is likely to come with a 6.6-inch Full HD screen for an immersive viewing experience. It will sport a 50MP rear camera, a 5000mAh battery and an Octa-Core processor.

Google Maps' navigation feature on Wear OS now works without phone
If users have an LTE-enabled watch, or their watch is connected to the internet via WiFi, they can now enjoy having Maps on their wrist, the tech giant said in a support page. When users allow location on their phone, navigation will work on their watch even when their phone is locked. "This is especially helpful when you're out for a run or ride and have left your phone behind but want to take a detour or need help finding your way home," the company said. Meanwhile, in August last year, the tech giant had announced that the Google Maps application for Wear OS would get support for offline navigation.
TikTok now allows users to find specific parts of videos
This feature was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra, reports TechCrunch. As the feature starts to roll out this week, it might not be available for every user. It seems that the video-scrubbing thumbnails are currently only available for newer uploads, as they are not appearing on older videos.

The data, including email address, name, screen name/username, account creation date and follower count was offered for 8 forum credits on a famous hacker forum, that amounts to $200,000, according to the team from AI-based cyber-security firm CloudSEK. "The vulnerability in Twitter's API, enabled threat actors to input phone number/email address to retrieve the Twitter user ID which in turn enables data scraping," said a CloudSEK researcher. Last month, a hacker claimed to have stolen the data of nearly 400 million Twitter users and put it up for sale on the dark web.
Now connect to WhatsApp via proxy servers if denied the right

According to Apple's website, the feature is currently only available for romance and fiction books, with two available digital voices - Madison and Jackson - and two more voices - Helena and Mitchell - on the way for non-fiction books. "We're starting with fiction and romance, and are accepting ebook submissions in these genres," said the company.
