Airbnb to verify all guests, cracks down on party bookings
According to the company, the new policies that went into force on Wednesday aim to enhance hosting experiences and increase platform bookings, The Verge reported. Tara Bunch, head of global operations of Airbnb, said that about 80 per cent of the company's guests and hosts were already verified before this expansion.
Apple, Major League Soccer to launch streaming service in 2023
The 'MLS Season Pass' streaming service will feature "live MLS regular-season matches, entire playoffs, and the Leagues Cup, all with no blackouts", Apple said in a blogpost. Stakeholders agree to phased roll-out of uniform charging port for different gadgets
Consumer Affairs Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh chaired a meeting of the Central Inter-Ministerial Task Force constituted to examine the issue of uniformity in charging ports of electronic devices, attended by representatives from industry associations such as MAIT, FICCI, CII, educational institutions including IIT Kanpur, IIT-BHU, Varanasi and Central government ministries including Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change. Industry should overcome inertia in adopting a uniform charging port in the interest of consumer welfare and prevention of avoidable e-waste, he said.
