Instagram tool to protect users from nude photos in their DMs
An app developer Alessandro Paluzzi first tweeted screenshots of the feature. "Instagram is working on nudity protection for chats. Technology on your device covers photos that may contain nudity in chats. Instagram can't access photos," he posted.
Google rolls out tool to let people remove personal info directly in Search
Google's "Results about you" tool, announced during its annual developer conference earlier this year, is now rolling out to some users, reports 9to5Google. With this new tool, if you find your personal information like home address, email address, phone number or any other information on Google Search, just click on the three-dot overflow menu that appears in the top-right corner of each result.

According to 9To5Google, Stadia has offered 1440p streaming for over two years, picking it up as a feature for desktops back in 2020. However, it has been more of a secret feature of the platform. Stadia's new quality setting is listed as "Up to 1440p" and is noted to use as much as 14.4 GB per hour of gameplay, versus 12.6 GB for 1080p or 20 GB for 4K streaming.
Twitter discloses bug that left users' account logged in after password reset
The company said that it has fixed the bug that didn't close all active logged in sessions on Android and iOS devices after an account's password was reset. "If you proactively changed your password on one device, but still had an open session on another device, that session may not have been closed.
TikTok to ban all political fundraising on its platform
TikTok said that it has long prohibited political advertising, including both paid ads on the platform and creators being paid directly to make branded content. Over the coming weeks, TikTok will be changing its policies to also "disallow solicitation for campaign fundraising".

Both the Surface laptops are likely to come with 12th Gen Intel CPUs, up to 1 TB storage and up to 16GB of RAM, reports German portal WinFuture. "Microsoft is currently preparing the launch of the Surface Pro 9 and the Surface Laptop 5 , which are likely to be presented at a hardware event by the company around mid-October," the report mentioned. Microsoft is planning two new colour variants for Surface Pro 9 - Forest and Sapphire.
