TikTok to restrict livestreams to viewers who are 18 years and above

The new setting for users is currently in limited testing with select users, reports TechCrunch. The select users in the testing period can toggle the "mature themes" button to restrict their livestreaming to adults only. The platform said that that "only viewers 18 and above can see your LIVE" if you turn it on. Once a user turns on the setting, TikTok will notify him that LIVE videos tagged 18+ will still be removed if they violate community guidelines.

Amazon forced to make it easier to cancel Prime subscriptions in Europe

The platform will enable European consumers to unsubscribe from Amazon Prime with just two clicks, using a prominent and clear "cancel button". "Opting for an online subscriptions can be very handy for consumers as it is often a very straightforward process, but the reverse action of unsubscribing should be just as easy. Twitter takes Indian govt to court over 'arbitrary' content blocking orders

Twitter has alleged in its writ petition that multiple accounts and content included in the blocking orders are either "overbroad and arbitrary", fail to provide notice to the "originators" of the content, and are "disproportionate" in several cases, sources told IANS. The social media platform alleged in the court petition that several blocking orders that were issued to Twitter only "cite" the grounds of Section 69A but fail to demonstrate how the content falls within those grounds or how the said content is "violative" of Section 69A, the sources added.

WeWork India fixes bug that exposed visitors' personal information

Security researcher Sandeep Hodkasia found unencrypted visitor data that got exposed owing to a bug in the check-in app on WeWork India's website. The vulnerability exposed visitors' names, phone numbers, email addresses and selfies. "I recently uncovered a security vulnerability in the WeWork app that exposed all visitors' PII (Personally identifiable information) data," tweeted Hodkasia, who is Co-founder of AppSecure.
