Google releases 2nd Android 13 Beta with thrust on user privacy
At its Google's I/O developer conference, the company said that in Android 13, "we're giving you more control over what personal information you share and more detailed control over what files your apps can access". In Android 13, apps must get your permission before sending you notifications. "In addition, we're reducing the number of apps that require your location.

Addressing the company's flagship Google I/O 2020 conference, Pichai said that Google's flood forecasting technology sent flood alerts to 23 million people in India and Bangladesh last year. Apple iPhones to shun Lightning port and get USB-C in 2023: Analyst
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a tweet that new iPhones next year will come with the all-popular USB-C port. "My latest survey indicates that 2H23 (second half of 2023) new iPhone will abandon Lightning port and switch to USB-C port. USB-C could improve iPhone's transfer and charging speed in hardware designs, but the final spec details still depend on iOS support," Kuo said in a tweet.

Musk's Neuralink rival Synchron launches human trial of brain implant in US
The US-based Synchron is an endovascular brain-computer (BCI) interface company that competes with Musk's Neuralink, which also aims to enable paralysed people to use computers and phones through their brain activities alone. In a statement, Synchron said that its device named Stentrode, which is the size of a paper clip, is implanted to the motor cortex of the brain through the jugular vein in a minimally-invasive procedure.
