The tech giant was granted a patent for "Digital assistant hardware abstraction," which relates to intelligent context sharing and task performance across a group of devices with intelligent assistant capabilities. The goal is to create the appearance that a single digital assistant is performing a task, instead of multiple digital assistants on different devices, reports AppleInsider.
Xiaomi J18s foldable smartphone tipped to launch in Q4 2021

The handset will have an inward folding display and both internal, as well as external panels, will support a high refresh rate. The smartphone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery, reports GizmoChina. As per previous posts by Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi J18s' internal screen supplied by Samsung Display will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

Twitter appoints interim chief compliance officer ahead of House meet

The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) had sent its final notice to Twitter last week over its compliance to the new IT norms. Twitter had said that as per the new guidelines, it has appointed a Nodal Contact Person and a Resident Grievance Office on a contractual basis, and the company is making recruitments to fill the positions on a permanent basis.

Facebook launches new initiative to help children be safe online

Apple Podcasts Subscriptions and Channels now available

Apple Podcasts Subscriptions allow creators to host bonus content and ad-free versions of their shows, in exchange for a monthly subscription. According to 9to5Mac, Apple has partnered with large podcasts networks, including Wondery and Luminary, to get their paywalled shows available inside the Apple Podcasts app. Podcasts Subscriptions have been met with some criticism by the podcast community, in large part because of Apple's high fees.
Microsoft will end Windows 10 support in Oct 2025

Previously, the page noted when Microsoft would end support for certain versions of Windows 10, reports Engadget. It now states Microsoft started supporting Windows 10 Home and Pro on July 29, 2015 and reveals the operating system's "retirement date".
