12 injured, 3 detained in mall shooting in US's South Carolina
Police said three people have been detained in connection with the shooting at the Columbiana Centre mall in Columbia on Saturday afternoon, adding that they do not believe this is a random incident. Police Chief, Skip Holbrook told the media that among the injured, 10 people were hit by gunfire, while two others were trampled in the crowd as people tried to escape, Xinhua news agency reported.

Russians missiles hit airfield in Ukraine's Oleksandriia

More Covid cases reported in China's Shanghai
Thirteen patients with severe Covid symptoms were being treated in Shanghai, according to a press conference held on Saturday, Xinhua news agency reported. Of them, 12 are between 70-93 years of age and had existing serious underlying health issues. On Friday, China reported a total 3,867 locally-transmitted confirmed cases of Covid, according to the report of National Health Commission (NHC) published on Saturday.
Russia warns West of 'unpredictable consequences'
The warning came in a formal diplomatic note from Moscow, a copy of which has been reviewed by media outlets in the US, BBC reported. Lyoya, 26, a refugee from Congo, was killed in the garden of a house in Grand Rapids after a brief chase followed by a struggle with the officer, who has not been named.
