Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed had earlier announced that Imran Khan will address the nation at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. However, PTI's Senator Faisal Javed said that the address has been postponed, Samaa TV reported. He rejected the notion that someone had instructed Imran Khan to postpone the address. Meanwhile, the military leadership is expected to call on Imran Khan any time soon.

Peace talks did not offer any breakthrough: Russia

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has played down any hopes of a breakthrough in the talks held with Ukraine in Turkey, BBC reported. On Tuesday, Russia said it intended to scale back its military activity in Kiev and Chernihiv, while Ukraine said it would consider becoming a "neutral" state. Peskov said Russia is careful to comment on the talks as "we believe that negotiations should take place in silence", adding that the chief Russian negotiator will speak later.

Confirming their deaths, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said on Tuesday that a search and rescue mission found their bodies. The six crew members of the helicopter were from Pakistan and the two others on the flight were military personnel from Russia and Serbia, he said.The helicopter that was on a reconnaissance mission in the area of Tshanzu, south-east of Rutshuru in North Kivu went down on Tuesday, he said.
