Russian court bans Navalny's organisations

A low number of platelets -- blood cells that help prevent blood loss when vessels are damaged -- can result in no symptoms or can lead to an increased risk of bleeding or, in some cases, clotting. The research team, led by the University of Edinburgh, analysed more than 1.7 million people who had their first jab of Oxford-AstraZeneca jab and 800,000 who took the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in Scotland.

The Anti-Corruption Commission in Myanmar found evidence that the 75-year-old committed "corruption using her rank", dpa news agency quoted the state-affiliated daily, Global New Light of Myanmar as saying in a report. The accusations include illegally accepting $600,000 and several kilograms of gold, as well as misusing land. Suu Kyi's lawyer described the accusations as "absurd" and "groundless".

US to buy 500 mn Pfizer Covid vax doses to donate to 100 countries

According to the plan, the US will pay for the doses at a "not for profit" price, which will be distributed through COVAX -- the international vaccine-sharing initiative. While the first 200 million doses will be distributed by the end of this year, another 300 million will be distributed by June 2021.
