Revolt Motors has expanded its electric motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the Revolt RVX in India. The new model carries an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 1.30 lakh, while the effective price comes down to Rs 1.24 lakh after applicable PM E-DRIVE incentives.
Positioned as a performance-focused electric motorcycle, the RVX is aimed at younger buyers looking for a practical machine equipped with modern technology and everyday usability.
Powering the motorcycle is a mid-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) producing 4 kW of continuous power and 5.3 kW at peak output. Revolt claims the motor delivers up to 230 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, allowing the motorcycle to sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.9 seconds. In Boost mode, the RVX has a claimed top speed of 90 kmph.
The electric motor draws power from a removable 3.24 kWh NMC battery pack. According to the company, the battery delivers an IDC-certified riding range of up to 160 km on a single charge. Using a fast charger, the battery can be replenished from 0 to 80 per cent in around 80 minutes.
The RVX offers four riding modes. Alongside the standard Eco, Normal and Sport settings, it features a Boost mode that temporarily unlocks the motorcycle's maximum performance for stronger acceleration. Once the required conditions are no longer met, the system automatically reverts to Sport mode.
The motorcycle is underpinned by upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock suspension, while disc brakes are fitted at both the front and rear.
Feature highlights include a 3.5-inch IP67-rated display with Bluetooth connectivity, telematics support and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The equipment list also includes geo-fencing, call and message notifications, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, walk assist, an immobiliser and a vehicle locator function.
Within Revolt Motors' product range, the RVX is positioned above the Revolt RV BlazeX and below the Revolt RV400. In the market, it will rival electric motorcycles in a similar price bracket, including the Oben Rorr EVO.
