Suzuki Motorcycle India has revamped the V-Strom SX during the festive season, adding a range of new colours. In addition to the new colours, the looks of the motorcycle have also been spruced up with new decals, making it look fresh in a bid to entice new customers. Notwithstanding the facial revamp, the cost is similar, with the V-Strom SX priced at Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The V-Strom SX is now available in Champion Yellow No. 2 with Glass Sparkle Black, a hue borrowed from its larger brother, the V-Strom 800 DE. Its other colour options are Pearl Fresh Blue with Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Glacier White with Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black. The black edition owes its colour to the former model but has new decals for a sleeker charm. As a celebration of this facelift, Suzuki has organized its first-ever V-Strom Expedition to the Himalayas, for customers only.
Mechanically, the V-Strom SX is unchanged. It is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that churns out 26.5 bhp of power and 22.2 Nm of torque at top performance, with a six-speed transmission.
The hardware of the motorcycle consists of a 19/17-inch alloy wheel combination, telescopic front forks, and a monoshock rear suspension. Single discs at the front and rear are responsible for braking, assisted by dual-channel ABS.
On the features side, the V-Strom SX provides an LED headlamp, LED taillamp, and a totally digital instrument panel with Bluetooth, which can display incoming messages, calls, and turn-by-turn directions. It also has a USB charging point and a rear-top luggage rack, adding to the convenience of the rider.
