BMW Motorrad has launched the new generation of its hyper-naked bike, the BMW S 1000 R, in India at ₹19.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new bike comes in as a CBU unit and with it comes updated styling along with a number of performance-oriented improvements over its predecessor.

Though the new S 1000 R builds on the established split-face LED layout, it wears more angular bodywork that makes it even more aggressive-looking. The refinements carry over to the tail section as well, now featuring a reduced height, sporty license plate holder. The rear turn signals and license plate lights are also combined into one streamlined unit for a sleeker appearance.
