Skoda Kodiaq Lounge Debuts at Rs 39.99 Lakh: Features and Highlights

In contrast to its peers, the Kodiaq Lounge is being launched as a 5-seater SUV, forgoing the third-row space present in higher trims.

Skoda Auto India has added a new model to the Kodiaq family, called the Lounge. The new addition now takes the position of the lowest variant of the Kodiaq, below the Sportline and Selection L&K trims.

In contrast to its peers, the Kodiaq Lounge is being launched as a 5-seater SUV, forgoing the third-row space present in higher trims.

As far as updates go, the Lounge trim comes with 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels. There are three exterior colors to choose from: Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey. Compared to the higher trims, there are Race Blue, Velvet Red, and Steel Grey available as options.

As the new entry-level trim, the Lounge has a few of the premium features found in the higher trims sacrificed. It misses out on a 360-degree camera, intelligent park assist, Canton music system, driver drowsiness detection, among others. But it still features a 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 100W 9-speaker sound system, and a nice grey faux-suede interior. Not having a third row means it has a more roomy 5-seater layout.

Under the bonnet, the Kodiaq Lounge is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Producing 201 hp and 320 Nm of torque, the combination makes for a refined and responsive driving experience.

When it comes to pricing, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge is rolled out at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sportline and Selection L&K trims are priced at Rs 43.76 lakh and Rs 45.96 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
