With the Trident 660 being recently updated, Triumph has now launched the 2025 model of the Speed Triple 1200 RS, bringing a number of mechanical changes while keeping its unique styling and essentials intact.
Engine and Performance Upgrades
The new 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS is driven by the identical 1160cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine. But Triumph has been able to tap more performance out of it — the bike now produces 183hp of top power and 128Nm of torque, a 3hp and 3Nm improvement over the old bike. This gain is largely due to a new free-flowing exhaust system that has been fitted, improving engine breathing and output.
Suspension and Tyre Upgrades
One of the most significant enhancements for 2025 is the inclusion of electronically adjustable Öhlins EC3 suspension, which replaces the manual suspension configuration found on the previous model. The motorcycle also features Pirelli Supercorsa V3 tyres instead of the Metzeler Racetec RR units previously fitted, with the intention of providing better grip and track ability.
Advanced Rider Aids
Another major transformation is in the electronics package — the traction control system now features independently adjustable wheelie control, providing more rider customization and control, particularly with spirited riding.
Design and Price
While the chassis and general styling do not change, there are three new colors to choose from: Cosmic Yellow, Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red. The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS is priced at Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom), an increase of Rs 2.44 lakh over the previous model.
