UGC NET December 2022: UGC activates Phase V exam city link | Here’re details

According to the official notification, the advance intimation for the allotment of exam city for UGC NET December 2022 (Phase V, 9 subjects), which is scheduled to be conducted between 13th of March and 15th of March 2023 has been activated. The applicants are required to check / download their Examination City Intimation Slip of UGC NET December 2022, Phase -V from the official website by using their application number and date of birth. 
BHU withdraws order banning Holi celebrations inside campus

The chief proctor of BHU said, "Regarding gathering at public place to celebrate Holi, the order issued on February 28, 2023, is being withdrawn in the light of the response received through social media and other means of communication. Everyone is expected to celebrate the festival of colours with due dignity.
Deakin University becomes 1st foreign varsity to get nod for opening campus in India

"By virtue of this approval, Deakin University will be able to offer the same degree courses it offers in Australia in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Financial Management in GIFT IFSC to both Indian and foreign students. The degree offered shall be identical or similar to that offered in the home jurisdiction," IFSCA chairperson Injeti Srinivas said.

The academic session will be starting from 1st of August while the semester examination will be held between 1st of December and 15th of December and during the time of winter vacation between December 15 and January 12, 2024, the university will remain close for the students.
Hijab not allowed during exams: Karnataka Education Minister

The II PUC (class 12) examinations are set to begin from March 9 in the state. Speaking to reporters he maintained that it has been clarified that all students should attend exams wearing uniforms. Hijab is not part of it. Those who want to write exams wearing hijab won't be allowed into the examination hall, he added.
Australian varsities interested in setting up campuses in India: UGC

Two Australian universities have already decided to set up their campuses at the GIFT CITY in Gujarat. Now campuses of Australian universities might come up outside Gujarat as well. These proposals were discussed during a meeting between the Australian Education Minister and UGC officials here on Thursday. Jason Clare, Minister of Education, Australia, and Barry O'Farrell, Australian High Commissioner to India, visited the UGC office on Thursday.

Indian nationals received the highest number of student visas which went up by 73 per cent from 2021. India was also issued 30 per cent of visit visas, which is the largest share compared to any other country, Ellis said, adding that the work visas increased by 130 per cent in the year 2022.

According to the HT report, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore told media persons that the evaluation process for the class 10th and 12th 2023 has already started. The 12th class evaluation process has started on 24th of February and will be ending on 5th of March whereas 10th Class evaluation process will be starting from 1st of March and will be ending on 12th of March, 2023.
