UK mulls allowing foreign students to work for longer hours

Presently, foreign students in the UK, who number around 6,80,000, are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours a week during term time. However, discussions have begun within the government to raise this cap to 30 hours or remove it entirely in a bid to boost its economy, The Times reported. International students made up 476,000 of the 1.1 million migrants who arrived in the country last year.

AMU orders probe into religious slogans on R-Day

The Proctor of Aligarh Muslim University, Wasim Ali, said an order has been issued to investigate the matter. "Further action will be taken after the investigation. The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or 10th Class examination will be starting on 10th of March and will conclude on 22nd of March 2023. The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) or 12th class examination will be held between 9th of March and 31st of March 2023 and according to the datesheet, the examination will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.
