CUET-PG 2023 will be conducted from June 1 to 10: UGC chief

According to the UGC Chaiman, the application process for CUET-PG is to start in mid-March 2023. It is a great opportunity for students to try for admission to multiple universities in post-graduate programmes using the CUET-PG score, he added. For CUET-PG, universities can complete their admission process by the end of July 2023 and begin the academic sessions by August 1 2023, the UGC chief said.

The craze among Indian students to study abroad was increasing every year. According to a government figure presented in the Lok Sabha last week, six lakh Indian students went abroad for higher education till November, this year, while in 2021, the number was 4.44 lakh. The data states that Canada, Germany, Australia, the US and Italy are the top five countries where Indian students go for further studies.

The Applicants can now apply for the entrance examinations through the official website of IGNOU – ignou.ac.in- till 25th of December 2022.  The entrance examination for these courses will be conducted on 8 January 2023 and fees for each examination is 1000 Rupees.  The candidates should have minimum 50% in either bachelor’s or master’s degree.
BYJU'S denies buying student databases after NCPCR allegation

In a statement to IANS, BYJU's said it "categorically state that we have never bought any database and expect that the media will refrain from making such a baseless and unsubstantiated allegation". The company said that with more than 150 million registered students, "we do not need to buy or use external databases".
UPSC, SSC and RRB selected 3,77,802 candidates in last 5 years

"Number of candidates selected by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) for appointment in the Central government during the last five years is 3,77,802," said Minister of State, Personnel, Jitendra Singh in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

UGC prepares ground for Bachelor's exams in 12 Indian languages

Students will be able to graduate in their mother tongue. In view of the same, preparations have begun to make the course books available in languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil and Telugu among others. The University Grants Commission (UGC), under an initiative by the Union Ministry of Education, is engaging with publishers to translate English textbooks to various Indian languages.
