India, Kyrgyzstan special forces start 2-week counter-terror drills

The exercise named, 'Khanjar', was inaugurated on Friday at the Special Forces Brigade of National Guards of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. It is the eighth editions of the India-Kyrgyz Joint Special Forces Exercise. Initiated first in 2011, the two-week-long exercise focuses on high-altitude, mountains and counter-extremism.
EC made record seizures of over Rs 1,000 cr from poll-bound states/UT

The poll body has seized cash amounting to Rs 344.85 crore, liquor valued at Rs 85.01 crore, drugs valued at Rs 161.60 crore, freebies valued at Rs 139.18 crore, and precious metals valued at Rs 270.80 crore. In 2016, total seizures from poll-bound states and the UT amounted to Rs 225.77 crore.
