Slight intensity earthquake jolts Jammu and Kashmir
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale occurred at 7.59 p.m. The coordinates of the earthquake are latitude 34.33 north and longitude 78.30 east. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometres and its epicentre was in Ladakh region.
Praveen Sinha to head CBI for now as 4th interim chief since 2005

Similarly, in December 2016, Asthana, a 1984 batch IPS officer of the Gujarat cadre, was appointed after Anil Sinha retired. In October 2018, Rao had replaced Alok Verma. Assam enforces act to abolish govt-run madrassas
An official of the Education Department said that Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has given his assent to 'The Assam Repealing Act 2020' and with the enforcement of the said act, over 620 madrassas would be converted into general schools from April 1. However, the state government is yet to take any specific decision about hundreds of privately-run madrassas across Assam.

Indian Medical Association refutes Centre's data on doctor deaths, says 744 died of Covid-19
Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey had said that coronavirus has so far claimed the lives of 162 doctors, 107 nurses and 44 ASHA workers in the country. In a letter to Choubey, IMA President J.A. Jayalal wrote that the Centre's data is contrary to the one released by the association which contained the names of 744 doctors.
