A statement issued by SCBA said: "The Executive Committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association has been dismayed to read reports in the media about the use of brute force to break up peaceful protests, where citizens raise their voices against State actions which they believe denigrate their basic rights."

Property dealer, accomplice held for fatal shooting of two men

Anil Kumar, 44, and Arman Ali were arrested for the murders of Anuj and Anand, who were associates of another property dealer Mukesh in the area. Anil alias Swami has 23 criminal cases against him, including murder, dacoity, robbery, extortion, snatching and under the Arms Act. Mukesh was recently released from jail.
Mystery surrounds disappearance of 2 businessmen brothers from Patna

Rakesh Kumar Gupta, the Vice-President of the Bihar Rice Mills Association, along with his younger brother Amit Kumar Gupta had disappeared on December 8. According to the police, the duo went to Naubatpur in a Toyota Fortuner SUV at 2 p.m. to Sai Rice Mill located in Nagma village near Naubatpur police station to meet their business partner Rajiv Ranjan but did not return home.
Chanda Kochhar involved in okaying 46% of loan proposals for Videocon: ED

The 308-page charge sheet filed by ED before a Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court here last month, which has been viewed by IANS, claimed that the investigations under PMLA revealed: "Chanda Kochhar was part of the committee or present in the meeting in 28 proposals (46 per cent of all proposals) of Videocon Group.
