President Murmu takes historic sortie in Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft in Assam

Drunk flyer on Delhi-Bengaluru IndiGo flight tries to open emergency door flap

The matter was reported to the agencies concerned and appropriate action was initiated. The passenger travelling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi to Bengaluru tried opening the flap of the emergency exit in an inebriated state. On noticing this, the crew on board alerted the captain and the passenger was appropriately cautioned.
HAL hands over 100th Su-30 MKI ROH aircraft to IAF

The Signal Out Certificate (SOC) of the 100th ROH aircraft was handed over by Saket Chaturvedi, CEO (MiG Complex), HAL, to Air Vice Marshal Sarin in the presence of HAL CMD C.B.Ananthakrishnan and other senior officials. The Defence Secretary lauded HAL's efforts in taking up the challenge of setting up an ROH facility for Su-30 MKI and also for establishing a new production line for LCA manufacturing.
India logs 6,050 fresh Covid-19 cases

With 3,320 recoveries in the same time span, the total number of recoveries reached 4,41,85,858. The recovery rate currently at 98.75 per cent. The daily positivity rate stood at 3.39 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate at 3.02 per cent. The active caseload currently stands at 28,303.With 1,78,533 tests conducted in the same time span, total number of tests reached 92.25 crore.

The temple, located in Ontario's Windsor city, was vandalised by unknown men with "anti-Hindu and anti-India graffiti" on Wednesday."This is a very unfortunate incident and we condemn it," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi told reporters. The new addition has pushed the total number of active cases to 25,587. According to the data, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.32 per cent and weekly positivity rate at 2.89 per cent. The Health Ministry said that till now 220.66 crore Total Vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive. 1,993 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
Textbooks not revised to please or offend anyone: NCERT chief

In a detailed conversation with IANS, Saklani said that the NCERT is now going to introduce new books for all classes on the basis of National Education Policy (NEP). According to the NCERT chief, changes have not only been made in history books, but in all other subjects as well to reduce burden from students.
Sealed cover proceedings violate both principles of natural justice, open justice: Supreme Court

It stressed that the sealed cover procedure cannot be introduced to cover harms that could not have been remedied by public interest immunity proceedings. A bench, headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud and comprising Justice Hima Kohli said: "It was not intended that the sealed cover procedure shall replace public interest immunity proceedings which constitute an established method for dealing with claims of confidentiality.
