Unequivocal stand against terror essential to protect civilians in urban conflicts: India
Speaking at a debate on protecting civilians in urban settings on Tuesday, India's Permanent Representative T.S. Tirumurti said, "It is a matter of concern that the parties to the armed conflicts till this day seem to consider civilian population and civilian infrastructure as legitimate targets. Such despicable approach has resulted in maiming and killing of thousands and rendering millions homeless."

4 women among 10 eminent personalities from NE conferred Padma Shri awards
Ten distinguished personalities, including four women, from seven of the eight northeastern states were conferred Padma Shri awards in different fields. The four women are Shakuntala Choudhary of Assam for social work while Lourembam Bino Devi and Muktamani Devi, both from Manipur, were recognised for their contributions in art and trade and industry, respectively, and Badaplin War of Meghalaya in the field of Literature and Education.
Covid delayed space mission Gaganyaan's timeline: ISRO chief
S. Somanath was updating Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh during a meeting discussing the status of 'Gaganyaan' as well as other space missions lined up for the near future. Following the first unmanned mission, the second unmanned mission "Vyommitra" will carry a robot and this will then be followed by the human mission, he told the minister.
