Chinese PLA hands over missing Arunachal youth to India: Rijiju
Rijiju, who closely monitored the process of the release of Taron since he went missing on January 18, tweeted: "The Chinese PLA has handed over the young boy from Arunachal Pradesh Shri Miram Taron to the Indian Army. Due procedures are being followed including the medical examination."
Centre may cap Covaxin, Covishield price at ₹275 per dose
The Union government plans to fix the prices of Covaxin and Covishield each at ₹ 275 per dose. The tentative price cap will be implemented once both the vaccines get regular market approval from Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) next month. Covaxin was priced at ₹ 1200 per dose and Covishield at ₹ 780 per dose. The price also included service charge of ₹ 150 per dose (at private facilities)

There were also nearly 5,000 legal demands to remove Twitter accounts from India in the reporting period, the company's latest transparency report has revealed. Global government preservation requests decreased by 4 per cent, while accounts specified increased by 24 per cent during this reporting period. The US (57 per cent) and India (25 per cent) together accounted for 82 per cent of all global preservation requests.
Delhi lifts weekend curfew, no odd-even for shops
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday decided to lift the weekend curfew and odd-even rule for shops in the market. However, the night curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will continue in the national capital. The decision to relax the curbs was taken following a DDMA meeting chaired by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal with Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier in the day.

Omicron infected have significant immune response, can neutralise Omicron, Delta: ICMR
The study analysed the IgG and neutralising antibodies (NAbs) against B.1, Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Omicron variants with the sera of individuals infected with the Omicron variant (B.1.1529 and BA.1). It suggests that the immune response induced by the Omicron could effectively neutralise the Delta variant, making re-infection with Delta variant less likely and displacing this varaint as the dominant strain.

Taron was reportedly kidnapped by the PLA a week ago from the Indian territory. Rijiju tweeted: "Hotline exchanged on Republic Day by Indian Army with Chinese PLA. PLA responded positively indicating handing over of our national and suggested a place of release. They are likely to intimate date and time soon. Delay attributed to bad weather conditions on their side."
