Mamata secures CM's post, wins with a record margin
After 21 rounds of counting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee secured 84,709 of the total 1,17,875 votes, securing more than 71 per cent of the total votes polled while Tibrewal secured 26,350 votes, little more than 22 per cent of the votes. CPI(M) candidate Shreejib Biwas managed to get only 4,201 votes.
After NCB, Cordelia Cruises hints of action against rave party revellers
The Saturday afternoon NCB swoop came on the ship while it was moored in the International Cruise Terminal port in south Mumbai and after the central probe agency's green signal, it started on its voyage to Goa late this morning. They were taken for a medical examination to a government hospital, but the NCB has not yet made any official statement on the latest development.

Ltd., which operates the fleet of luxury ships, said: "I wish to express that Cordelia Cruises is in no way, directly or indirectly, connected to this incident. Cordelia Cruises had chartered its ship for a private event to a Delhi based event management company."

NIA carries out multiple raids involving cross LoC trade
"With the assistance of the J&K pPolice, CRPF and ITBP, the NIA conducted searches at nine locations in Poonch district at the premises of the suspected LoC traders in relation to case no. RC-17/2016/NIA/DLI, an Agency official said. The case was registered on December 9, 2016 by the NIA under Section 17 of UA(P) Act, 1967."

A leaked video clip of a bewildered Aryan Khan sitting with a few others in the NCB office was flashed by some local TV channels, with the likelihood of more prominent names emerging. An NCB official said that Aryan is among several others who are likely to be questioned in connection with the alleged party that they attended aboard the luxury ship.
