Invitation to interfere is tempting', SC refuses to hear plea on Singhu border

Chandrachud, Vikram Nath and Hima Kohli noted the invitation to interfere in the matter was tempting, but there are high courts, which can deal with the local issues.

Safdarjung observatory received 214.5 mm rainfall as against the normal of 247.7 mm, which is 13 per cent below normal of long period average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD calculates the long period average (LPA) based on the data for the years between 1961 and 2010.

The paper suggests that there was no Aryan invasion in the Indus Valley Civilization and that all the activities in the South Asia region were carried out by indigenous people, Prof Vasant Shinde, lead author of the paper said. The findings came from a burial site in Rakhigarhi, which is one of the biggest Indus Valley Locations, spreading across 300 hectares.
24 rare animals killed in flood-hit Kaziranga National Park

Officials of the KNP & TR said the 24 dead animals comprise 17 hog deer, two rhinos, one wild buffalo, two swamp deer, a python, and a cap langur. The forest personnel has so far rescued four animals, including a 10-day old male endangered rhino calf from the outer fringe of the central range near Mihimukh highland.
