India logs 42,766 Covid cases, Kerala continues upward trend
Kerala continued to witness an increase in the Covid cases. The state alone accounts for a maximum number of active cases at present. The number of active cases in the state stands at 2,50,065, so far, according to the ministry's report. At the same time, India registered 308 new deaths due to Covid, taking the cumulative fatalities so far at 4,40,533, according to the Ministry's report released on Sunday morning.

Judicial probe confirms complicity of 26 govt officials with Vikas Dubey
Vikas Dubey, who was killed in an encounter on July 10 2020, has massacred eight policemen in the Bikru village on July 3 when the police team came to arrest him in a murder case. The Supreme Court had mandated a three-member inquiry commission headed by Justice (retd) B.S. Chauhan to probe into the encounter of Dubey and five of his alleged associates. The panel also probed the circumstances which led to the rise and fall of the gangster.
