Aurangabad Clash Sparks Tej Pratap Yadav’s Criticism of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi; Lalu Family Tensions Deepen

Uploading a 19-second video of the incident on his official X handle, Tej Pratap commented, "I am not in a position to know if Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have emerged to save democracy or to ruin democracy. The manner in which the driver of MLA Vijay Kumar Singh alias Dablu Singh of Nabinagar and his brother, who is a media journalist, were beaten up and insulted by Jaichands is highly wrong and shameful. I condemn it strongly."

Hasanpur MLA and Lalu Prasad Yadav's eldest son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has again attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his younger brother, Bihar Assembly Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, after an alleged scuffle between a legislator's driver and a journalist during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Aurangabad.

He also put a warning to his younger brother, saying, "I want to inform Tejashwi that there is still time. Take care of the Jaichands in and around you; otherwise, you will get very adverse results in the elections. Now election results will determine how clever you are."

This is not the first time when Tej Pratap has blamed "Jaichands" (betrayers) in Tejashwi's team for conspiring against him.

Several months ago, after a photo of him with a woman named Anushka Yadav went viral, Tej Pratap claimed he had not posted it and blamed Tejashwi’s aides. The episode resulted in his six-year expulsion from both the party and the family by RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

With his latest remarks, political commentators indicate that rivalries between Lalu Prasad Yadav's sons are back in the limelight, creating possible challenges to the RJD as the Assembly polls draw near.

In the meantime, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav went on their Voter Adhikar Yatra on Monday, making public speeches and arriving in Gaya in the evening. On Tuesday, the Yatra will move to Nawada district, where INDIA bloc leaders will work on making voters aware and charge the Election Commission and BJP with "vote chori (vote theft).
